A rear view of “Cothelstone House” which was built by the Esdaile family between 1815-1820 and demolished by the late 1960s having fallen into disrepair. The block in the centre of the photo comprised on the ground floor a utility room, billiard room and sitting room. The wing of the house on the right of the photo included on the ground floor a veg room, dark room, meat larder and dairy.
