This cottage is one of several cottages close to the junction of Cushuish Hill with the Bishops Lydeard/KIngston St Mary lane. This location is known as ‘stairfoot’. It may once have been a ‘poor house’ or ‘ale house’. The cottage is now (2018) called “Redwood” and has been extensively refurbished.
