A view of East Quantoxhead beach, taken at Quantoxhead (or Quantock’s Head, the name of the promontory). Quantoxhead is an important geological site and has been the source of many fossils. The alternating rock layers can be seen in the cliffs and all of this stretch of coast is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
