The ‘clump’ of scots pines (often referred to as ‘firs’) above Holford. There were a number of such groups (at least four) on conspicuous locations. It is believed that these were planted as a commemoration of the battle of Trafalgar. Few of these trees remain (2017) and those that do are hidden by tree growth around them. The group on the hilltop to the right of the picture is probably the group that became the site of the Holford & Kilve war memorial planting.
